This Stock Market is making me Nauseous

Wall Street had one of it's best days ever, the Dow Jones industrials we sent soaring almost 900 points. That would be fantastic if it was not coming after week of disaster and investors did not have the feeling that the market could turn on them in an instant.

52-Week Low 10/10/08 7,882.51
52-Week High 10/31/07 13,962.53

Range = 6,080.02

A range of over 6,000 points one year is insane.

Which makes me ask this question, can you tell the difference between
